I had not watched the show before tonight. I thought the production crew did a nice job of showcasing the project and the area. Today's paper had an article about the family who lives there. It mentioned that lots of people still drive by to look at the house and some knock on the door wanting a tour. The article also mentioned that a few people are upset the Huber's were selected at all and aren't shy to share their feelings about it. I do have to wonder what the taxes are going to be on the place. I'm thinking that a little sticker shock will occur when they get the bill.

The evil Bush/Cheney administration is at it again. That poor person, kidnapped by the military no less, will end up in a Haliburton built concentration camp for "questioning" before he is disappeared. Sickening...Huh? What? Bush is gone? It's all good then...

I can't say I've been to many Natl Parks, but Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Glacier come to mind. Those three are so different from one another that they hardly compare. One thing I'm confident about is that after watching this latest Burns work I'll be anxious to do some traveling.

How much does an individual copy of WT or Awake! cost?
by Open mind ini'm not talking about the incalculable cost of wasted lives, etc.. i'm mainly thinking about actual out-of-pocket accounting cost to the wtb&ts.
raw materials, labor (yes labor, it's not quite free even though some seem to think so), utilities, shipping, etc.. my gut says about $.30 us.
but i have crunched no numbers nor done any research.. anyone else?.

ex wants to be free to remarry - ugh
by No Apologies inok, i'm sure i am not the first one to be in this predicament but it sure is a headache, my jw ex called a few days ago, apparently she has met someone (they're not dating of course!
) and she wants to me to hand over the golden ticket.
she wants confirmation either in writing or verbally to a third party, that she is "scripturally free" to remarry.. i have managed for years now to avoid any judicial action and my jw family members still associate with me, but that all could come to a screeching halt if i give her what she wants.. the only bright side is she totally robbed me on the divorce; if she gets married i am at least off the hook for "spousal maintenance", that would mean potentially thousands of dollars in my pocket.... .

As I suggested to you once before, NA, pick out a very expensive hooker but your ex has to pay for services rendered. Both of you would be participants in the fornication. Truly a win-win solution.

After reading this admittedly right wing hatchet piece about Van Jones, I cannot for the life of me figure out why Obama accepted Jones' resignation. If half of what the cited article is true, it seems that Jones was a perfect fit for the Hope and Change Administration. As a poster asked on a left wing blog, why does Obama insist on bring a white flag to every confrontation with the irrelevant, out of touch right?
